Brief Description of Duties / Minimum Requirements: This position is located in Austin, TX.

The successful candidate's responsibilities include working under supervision of Team Lead/Mentor in projects supporting the DeltaV control system. Specific duties may include:

  • Building test systems/jigs
  • Developing automated test scripts and configurations
  • Executing tests
  • Evaluating test results
  • Developing/writing new test cases
  • Working with product development teams to resolve test findings

Testing scope covers both software and hardware implementation. The candidate will become familiar with the different divisions of Emerson Process Management, working with those products as well as competitor products to make sure they fully integrate into the DeltaV control system. The Intern/Co-op will work closely with a Team Lead/Mentor, gaining and sharing product development knowledge and customer requirements.

A demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment. Candidate must also be a self-starter, willing to learn new technologies and apply them as appropriate. Excellent communication skills is also a must.

Minimum Education Requirements: 2 years in a major of Electrical, Chemical, or Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
