Brief Description of Duties / Minimum Requirements: This position is located in Austin, TX and relocation assistance is not available. Approximately 30% travel is expected.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Management, MBA preferred. Minimum 6-8 years experience in Sales or Marketing, with at least 5 years- of experience in the Process Automation and Control industry.
- Familiarity with the Process Automation and Control industry is essential for the person filling this role to grasp full understanding of forward technological direction on Emerson standard products, service, and solutions and to determine how to best fill product gaps.
- Solid understanding and- recognition of customer issues around reliability and support of 3rd party OEM and other products when installing a Process Automation System in a variety of industries.
- Experience interfacing with suppliers and 3rd party sales- personnel, especially in the area of relationship management and bi-directional feedback toward continuous improvements.
- Previous experience in- successfully working with Marketing and Technology to help close and increase sales in all world areas.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement- cross-functional process improvements.
- Willing to travel 30% of the- time.

Brief Description of Duties / Minimum Requirements / Key Job Responsibilities:
- The PSS Global Sales 3rd Party Alliance Manager will work with the key stakeholders in the 3rd party alliance program (sales, marketing, procurement, technology, quality, and 3rd party partners) to help accelerate the growth and penetration of the DeltaV platform by maximizing the reliability and robustness of the overall PSS automation platform solution, which includes many 3rd party products. In this role, the alliance program manager will work directly with the PSS sales channel, PSS end-user customers, and 3rd party alliance representatives to identify product "gaps" not sold directly by Emerson that make the overall DeltaV platform and solution more attractive in the marketplace, while protecting the end-users experience and risk concerns.
- Responsible for managing the relationships with our 3rd- alliance program partners, including proposing when one should be added or removed
- Look for new products that may need to be added to the program in- order to fill gaps around the DeltaV offering
- Following up on all aspects- of the program, including product qualification during test, auditing 3rd party partners for compliance to establish policies, meeting occasionally with partners to ensure good understanding of their offerings, listening to the sales force and end-users for ways to improve the program
- Working with- procurement to remove any impediments or other issues that are seen to be slowing the growth and acceptance of the DeltaV product in the marketplace
- Work directly with the DeltaV marketing and technology (HW/SW) teams to determine current and future third party needs for products, services and solutions outside of the Emerson divisional supplied products and support the efforts of procurement to secure the best supplier to fill the needs for our customers
- Educate and influence global sales force and 3rd party alliance- partners on the benefits of the overall program
- Coordinate with the- Procurement Alliance Program Manager to ensure first class marketing / sales appearance to Alliance Program SharePoint site.
- Market and promote- products to the PSS Sales Channel
- Answer functionality / technical- questions from the Sales Channel
- Travel to the Sales Channel sites to- analyze the use of the program and drive maximum throughput of the approved partners
- Coordinate Emerson Exchange activities in conjunction with the- Alliance Program
- Participate in annual supplier reviews in support of- Procurement Alliance Program Manager
- Lead continuous improvement projects- to improve the Alliance Program.
- Co-Host partner visits with Procurement- Alliance Program Manager.
