Brief Description of Duties / Minimum Requirements: This position is located in Austin, TX and relocation assistance is not available. Approximately 25-35% travel is expected.
This position is based in Austin Texas. 25% to 35% Travel required which includes some international travel. Requires track record of consultative & value selling with proven results. Must have knowledge and experience in process automation, and business process consultation in the Oil & Gas, Refining, Chemical, and Pharmaceutical industries aiming at generating significant value for the customer. Requires understanding of all phases of the operations, functions, and economics of how the companies make profits. The candidate needs knowledge of the industries we serve, market environment, business drivers, constraints, and the ability to formulate strategic initiatives to help the customer succeed under these conditions. Experienced with managing customer relationship & negotiation. Will participate in developing internal strategies and business plans, as well as in the identification, validation & realization of benefits for clients through use of industry domain expertise and knowledge.
Experience in creating practical Refining, Chemical and O&G market segment process automation physical layer systems and devices solutions. Successful at growing solution offerings around PlantWeb, while maintaining alignment with the vision and goals of Process Systems and Solutions. Employ sales consulting experience in working with regional sales. Aggressively embrace and integrate quality and process problem solving and tools approach in support of the sales channel. Quickly implement a focus on customer intimacy and value based service solutions strategies. Create market demand for the business's solution set. Support aggressive promotion and merchandising strategies. Ensure the growth of this business by establishing and optimizing installed base relationships, develop new key accounts and driving new marketing growth initiatives. Thorough understanding of our competitor’s strengths, weaknesses and business methodology is essential.
- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience.
- Ability to work in a matrix environment and to interact closely with individuals at all levels of Solutions.
- Strong communication skills, including presentation skills, are essential.
- Ability to work in a fluid environment where product/customer requirements may be unrefined or poorly defined.
- Strong market, financial and business acumen - ability to identify, evaluate and rank upside opportunities and risks across business.
- Marketing experience or exposure - including solution commercialization.
- The ability to work within a team environment, as well as a self starter with ability to work alone.
- The ability to manage one’s time to meet utilization goals.
- Design and Implementation experience in Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus and Devicenet.
- Experience in Safety Integrated System and APC is desired but not a requirement
Minimum Education Requirements:
BS Engineering plus 8 years of related experience, or MS Engineering plus 7 years of related experience required
