Brief Description of Duties / Minimum Requirements: This position is located in Austin or Philadelphia and relocation assistance is available. Approximately 25-35% travel is expected.
The selected individual will have an opportunity to excel in a fast paced and dynamic project execution environment. You will leverage their software skills and experience to define client requirements, develop detailed designs, and implement the overall solution. You will work with an experienced team of consultants and software engineers to deliver Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions using both custom developed software applications and configured products. You will work with clients and sales team to define business needs and demonstrate our product and services capabilities. Your ability to provide leadership, quickly learn new skills and technologies, and work effectively at different levels within project teams, client organizations and sales will be key to your success. Interested in individuals with proven MES experience in one or more in the following systems (DMI Compliance Suite, Rockwell ProPack Data, Werum PAS-X, POMSnet, Camstar)
The Sr. MES / Integration Engineer will be responsible for providing project & technical leadership in the following areas:
- Support Consultants and Sales in the definition of MES strategic vision and presentation of this value message to client
- Be responsible for selected areas of the overall solution architect to define scope, sizing, system / operational requirements, integration requirements, project estimations and execution methodology.
- Lead/Mentor junior engineers
- Define functional requirements through client interviews and documentation analysis
- Develop detailed designs that meet client requirements
- Develop documentation required for validated facilities
- Implement and deliver assigned areas of the overall MES and system integration solution
The successful Sr. MES / Integration Engineer will also demonstrate education and experience including the following:
- BS and 12 plus years OR BS Engineering or Computer Science and 3 plus years related experience
- 2 plus years of experience with requirements analysis, design definition and implementation of software solutions above the manufacturing floor (emphasis in biotech/pharmaceutical sites preferred)
- 2 plus years experience with software development using C#, C++ or VB.Net required; Web Services, ASP/ASP.Net and XML. a plus
- 1 plus years experience using a RDBMS (SQL, triggers, stored procedures) Microsoft SQL 2000 is preferred
- 1 plus year experience with plant floor / Manufacturing Execution System (MES) systems (e.g. DMI Compliance Suite, Rockwell ProPack Data, Werum PAS-X, POMSnet, Camstar)
- 1 plus years of experience in a project leadership role
- 1 plus years providing mentorship to junior engineers
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability and willingness to travel from 25-35% dependent upon project assignments
Other areas that will strongly benefit the candidate: Experience using OSI products (e.g. PI, Datalink, ProcessBook, PI-Batch, RtReports, RtPortal, Interfaces)
Candidates with plant operation experience and solid software development experience who have a strong desire to learn MES software applications that enhance cutting edge process automation solutions are encouraged to apply. Will train the right candidate in advanced software skills.
BS Engineering or Computer Science and 4 to 6 plus years OR BS and 12 plus year related experience, or MS Eng or Computer Science plus 1 to 4 years of related work experience.
This position will based in either Austin, TX or Royersford PA and may include relocation based on business needs.
