FIELDVUE^® instruments provide the solution by decreasing the process variability caused by control valves.  One way this is done is by providing alerts through AMS ValveLink® Software and the FIELDVUE digital valve controller.  Travel deviation, drive signal, and cycle accumulation alerts tell you when your valve needs attention.  You can also perform diagnostic tests to analyze your valve’s performance.  One test in particular, the step response test, will analyze how your valve responds to small step input changes.

For example, a valve requiring a 5% input change to move would be a clear target for improvement.
