Process Management introduces two new wafer-bodied liquid level products
that facilitate the design of processing or storage vessels. Designated
the Fisher® Types DL3 and L3, these new wafer-style products allow
direct, top mounting onto a vessel, or mounting between flanges of
user-supplied fabricated cages. Available in 3 or 4-inch sizes, the wafer
body fits Class 150 thru 600 raised-face flange connections. Automation
users voted "Fisher" the number one brand of displacer level
gauges as reported in the annual CONTROL Magazine Readers’ Choice
Awards.
To assist OEM and contractor
vessel designers, Emerson provides guidelines to mount the Types DL3 and
L3 to various liquid level cage configurations.
The Types DL3 and L3 are
designed to sense the level of a liquid, the level of an interface between
two liquids, or the density of a liquid in a vessel using displacer
technology. The DL3 produces a 4-20mA analog output signal and is HART®
compliant. The L3 produces a pneumatic
output signal.
