New FIELDVUE® Digital Level Controller Enhances Performance Capabilities In Liquid Level Applications

MARSHALLTOWN, IOWA, June, 2000 – Fisher Controls International LLC introduces the FIELDVUE® DLC3000 Series Digital Level Controller. This new multi-variant, HART®-based instrument is used with displacer level sensors to measure liquid level, interface level between two liquids, or liquid specific gravity (density). An RTD temperature input is also available.w7977-1.jpg (8646 bytes)

The DLC3000 Series instrument is ideal for new project applications or for upgrades of conventional pneumatic and electronic level transmitters, including the Fisher Type 2390. Easy to configure and maintain, the instrument’s key features include:

  • Simple setup and calibration — Through the use of an electronic Setup Wizard, the DLC3000 instrument’s startup is straightforward and fast. Level and temperature alarms, specific-gravity tables, calibration trim, and trending are easy to configure.

  • Reduced temperature effects — Ambient temperature changes will not affect the performance of the DLC3000 Series Digital Level Controller. With a HART or RTD input signal, the instrument can also automatically compensate for specific gravity changes due to changes in process temperature.

  • Responsive to small process changes — Accurate, high-gain analog-to-digital conversion enables the instrument to measure very small changes in process variables, making it an excellent choice for difficult liquid level, interface, or density applications.

The DLC3000 Series Digital Level Controller was proven reliable in successful field trials within the hydrocarbon, power, and pulp & paper industries.
