MARSHALLTOWN, IOWA (March 22, 2002) – The new Fisher® D2 FloPro™ control valve from Emerson Process Management packs operating features and new technology into one valve construction. The D2 FloPro is a member of the new FisherExpress™ family of oil and gas patch control products.

"While oil and gas applications can be complicated and demanding, selecting products should not be," says Brian Burlage, FisherExpress project manager. "The D2 FloPro combines the most commonly-sought operating features and a field-adjustable maximum flow rate setting into a single valve construction. This way, users can utilize one valve in a wide range of level dump applications."

The following features come standard on the D2 FloPro: 1-inch NPT end connections; ASME Class 900 (2250 psig) pressure rating; FloPro field-selectable flow rate; solid Alloy-6 erosive service trim; full pressure drop capability; ENVIRO-SEAL® D2 packing system; low temperature materials (-50°F) materials; field-reversible actuator; and corrosion-resistant powder coat paint. The innovative D2 FloPro feature allows easy setting of 2, 4, and 6 Cv flow rates with just one port size.

While it is ideal for use as a dump valve on gas separators and scrubbers, the D2 FloPro is also well suited for other high-pressure applications in natural gas production, compression and processing. The D2 FloPro is lighter in weight (17 pounds) and more compact than many dump valves, which means easier handling during installation and maintenance procedures.

Rounding out the FisherExpress product offering are the new type L2 liquid level controller, the field-proven type 4150K Wizard® II pressure controller, the type 4660 high-low pressure pilot and the type 546 I/P transducer.
